Sara Quayle, M.D., F.A.A.P. Physician Manager

A native Vermonter,  Dr. Quayle  graduated from Middlebury College in 1979 and the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 1983. This was followed by a pediatric residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. She has practiced at Timber Lane Pediatrics since 1987.  She enjoys the continuity of general pediatrics, and has a special interest in adolescent medicine and developmental-behavioral pediatrics.  Dr. Quayle and her husband  live in Williston with their two teenage children.

    

Barbara Kennedy, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Barbara Kennedy, a native of Madison, Wisconsin, and her husband, an ER physician, graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin and did their residencies in Rochester, NY.  They worked in Nashville, TN for several years before moving to the San Francisco Bay area where she worked for the Palo Alto Medical Center while her husband got his MBA at Stanford.  In 1993 they saw the light and moved to Shelburne, VT with their 4 daughters .  Dr. Kennedy enjoys caring for all pediatric patients from birth through college.  Her area of special interest is wilderness & travel medicine.  She has authored several chapters and written pediatric guides to wilderness and foreign travel.  She and her husband have travelled with their daughters to 6 of the 7 continents.  Dr Kennedy also enjoys running, biking, skiing and is a proud member of the nationally competitive “Vintage”, a women’s 50 and over ice hockey team.  

Monica Fiorenza, M.D., F.A.A.P.

 Dr. Monica Fiorenza grew up in Burlington, VT.  As a child she was a patient of Dr. Murray’s here at Timberlane Pediatrics .  She graduated from Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington.  After completing her undergraduate degree in chemical engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY, she obtained her MD from the University of Vermont College of Medicine and  completed her pediatric residency at the University of Rochester.  She spent time volunteering as a pediatrician on the island of St. Lucia before joining Timberlane Pediatrics in 2003.  She lives with her husband, Dr. Gregory McCormick and their 2 daughters in Hinesburg.  Dr. McCormick is an opthalmologist with Opththalmic Consultants of Vermont at 55 Timber Lane, right down the hall from TLP!  She injoys spending time with her family and friends, skiing at Mad River Glen and waterskiing.  

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Elizabeth Hunt, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Hunt, a native of New Jersey, completed her Pediatric Residency at UVM/Fletcher Allen Hospital.  She and Dr Veit trained together.  She studied Community Health at Brown University and then joined the Peace Corps.  She served in rural Ecuador as a public health volunteer for two years.  She has experience in immunization research, urban public health outreach and speaks near fluent Spanish.  Dr Hunt has most recently been working at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota in general practice and as a newborn hospitalist. She was staff physician at Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center in Burlington, VT for two years.  When able she also volunteers in Haiti.  Dr Hunt is particulary interest in Breastfeeding medicine, infectious disease and chidren’s mental health and wellness. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jesse Moore, a surgeon at Fletcher Allen and their two young boys. She likes sailing, hiking and reading.

Candace Hines, P.N.P., I.B.C.L.C., AE-C

Candace has been a Registered Nurse for thirty years and a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for the past eleven years.  She graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Masters Degree in Child Health/Nurse Practitioner.  Candace joined our practice in November, 2006.  She is certified nationally as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Lactation Consultant and Asthma Educator. Her interests also include Refugee Health.

 

Rebecca Nagle, P.N.P., C.L.C.

Rebecca has been a registered nurse for twenty years and has been a Pediatric Nurse Practioner since 1999. She graduated with a nursing degree from the University of Vermont in 1991 and from the University of California, San Francisco in 1999 with a Masters in Child Health and a Pediatric Nurse Practioner Certification.  Rebecca enjoys caring for all pediatric patients, birth through college and has special interests in lactation, newborns and adolescents.  Rebecca has traveled and worked in international health care for 16 years, focusing on child and maternal health.  She works part-time and spends her non-working hours with her husband and three children. They enjoy traveling, skiing, surfing, mountain biking and playing outdoors. 

Katherine Margulius, P.A.

Katharine (Kate) Margulius, PA-C, has been a practicing Physician Assistant since 2000.  She joined our practice in June, 2009.  She graduated from the University of New England in Southern Maine as a Physician Assistant with her Masters Degree in Science.  Kate is licensed by the State of Vermont and certified by the NCCPA.  She enjoys caring for families with children of all ages and has special interests in women’s health, adolescent and college health.  Her non-working hours are spent with her husband, parenting their 3 children and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

Michelle Perron, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Michelle Perron, MD. grew up in Montpelier, VT.  After high school she attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine and graduated with a Degree in Biology.  She then went on to medical school at the University of Vermont.  Upon graduation, she moved to Worcester, MA.  for a residency in pediatrics at the University of Massachusetts and stayed on to work for a year after completing her program.  She has been practicing pediatrics in Burlington for the past 10 years.  Cooking/baking,  spending time outdoors and enjoying the company of her husband,  family and pets are her favorite pastimes.

 

Alicia Veit, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Alicia Veit, MD., joined Timber Lane Pediatrics in 2008 shortly after completing her residency at the University of Vermont based on a strong desire to remain in such a committed pediatric community.  Originally from Philadelphia, she graduated from Bowdoin College in Maine (1998) and then continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (2004) after working briefly in public health.  She now lives in Hinesburg with her husband James Ulager, a family physician, and their two young daughters.  She is a general pediatrician whose areas of interest range from early childhood development to adolescence.  She believes strongly in preventive medicine, health education, and working in partnership with families,  schools and community agencies.  In her free time, she tries to be outside as much as possible – hiking and canoeing – and more recently, exploring every playground in Chittenden County with her 2 daughters.

Dr Aronzon MD is originally from Poughkeepsie, NY.  She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University and her medical degree at the University of Rochester. Her pediatric residency was at the University of Virgina in Charlottesville, VA.  Following residency, Dr Aronzon worked as a pediatrician in Staunton, VA.  She then returned to the University of Rochester, where she worked as a pediatric fellow and as an instructor in the resident clinic and pediatric emergency room.  Her special interests include newborn care, infectious disease and advocacy.  Dr Aronzon enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter as well as tennis, outdoor activities, cooking and travel.  She will be working at our North Ave. office

Leah Flore, F.N.P., I.B.C.L.C.

Leah is a graduate of the University of Vermont with a degree in nursing.  She worked on her Masters Degree through the University of Phoenix and completed both her Masters Degree and Nurse Practitioner education at the University of Vermont.  She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  Leah is a member of the American Nursing Association, the Vermont State Nursing Association and the Vermont State Nurse Practitioner Association.  She has been with the practice since 2005.  Leah’s special interests include newborns, lactation and women’s health.  She is the Medical Care Provider at Champlain College Student Health Services and assists with newborn care at both Timber Lane.
